Steven R. Moss is a writer based in Manchester UK, whose flash fiction received recognition and appeared online and in print between 2016 and 2022 with various publications including Flash: The International Short-Short Story Magazine, Bending Genres, Jellyfish Review, Bath Flash Fiction, Fish Flash Fiction, Bath Short Story Award, Ellipsis Zine, The Sunlight Press, London Independent Story Award and Reflex Fiction.
Steven wrote flash fiction and short stories in which ordinary lives tilted towards the strange. His work was characterised by compression, precise imagery and dark humour, often using the language of science, landscape and everyday objects to approach intimacy, memory and loss without explaining away their complexity.
